Today Wes, Roz, and Me hunted a less accessible portion of
the famous North Sulphur River. Thanks Wes for driving and use of
the walking sticks! |
The dirt road into the drop in point looked potentially too
muddy to pass without sliding or getting buried so we decided to
"improve" the worst area with some tree limbs and whatever we
could find. We had no problem crossing the worst area. |

Wes was the first to find a large Mosasaur vertebra. |

Roz finds a great baculites section. |

After a while of finding bit and pieces of various things
Wes mentions something about Plesiosaur vs. Pliosaur. Within a
couple minutes of this discussion Roz almost trips over a large Plesiosaur
vert! A rare find. |

On the way back Wes spotted a mammal tooth sticking out of
the side of the wall. |
