Mansfield & Fort Worth, Tx
March 23, 2008

Today Me and Roz hit an old hunting spot and a couple new spots.
1st stop was an old spot that's been dubbed the "Mansfield pit".  This was an awesome Eagle Ford formation collecting site until new construction leveled the best area which was a ridge running along the edge of the pit.  Hopefully the leveled area will start producing some as it erodes.
Inoceramus shell
Old picture of the fossiliferous exposure now gone.

2nd stop was a deep drainage area just north of the first stop.  Here is exposed a portion of the Woodbine formation.

3rd stop was a mixed formation location closer to Fort Worth.  The section next to the creek maybe Weno formation.
