Today Me and Roz hunted an unexpected geologic lens (or anticline) of Glen Rose limestone outcropping in the Paluxy sandstone on the eastern border of Parker County, Texas.  The unusual thing is that normally the Glen Rose would not be seen that far east where the Paluxy dominates, normally it outcrops in the southwest part of Parker county.
Here is the outcrop of Glen Rose limestone.  Here we found Cassiope branneri gastropods normally associated with the Glen Rose formation.  These are preserved as very detailed calcite replaced shells.
