In April SMU sent out press releases about the discovery
since the scientific paper had just been published on it. The press
release was followed up with more coverage by CBS 11 and the Star
Telegram. The actual scientific paper is: "A new ornithocheiroid pterosaur from the Upper Cretaceous (Cenomanian-Turonian) Eagle Ford Group of Texas" by Timothy Scott Myers, Jan. 2010. Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology 30 (1) 280-287 |
