Today Me and Roz hunted some creeks that cut into the Fort Worth formation.  At the first stop you can see the alternating limestone/shale layers typical of the Fort Worth formation as they form shelves in the creek.

At another stop a little further east and higher stratigraphically.  Here we start to see the typical Fort Worth formation fossils.
Macraster echinoids:

Roz's giant

Also found was a Nautilus (no picture)
At the last stop a little further east and higher stratigraphically we are leaving the Fort Worth formation and entering Denton formation.
Here at water level you can actually see the Fort Worth limestone dip to the southeast.
