| Today Me and Roz hunted a small creek that runs through part of the Eagle Ford formation. We found only septarian nodules except for one chunk of crystal that actually had BONE inside! | ||

| The mystery bone. This is not Mosasaur because we are below the Kamp Ranch layer where the earliest documented Mosasaur was found. At that time Mosasaurs were just small iguana sized creatures. This bone would have to be from one of the other large marine reptiles of the time. There WAS a plesiosaur (Elasmosaurus morgani) found in similar age deposits. | ||
