Justin, Texas
Aug. 16, 2008

Today was the annual Dallas Paleontological Society field trip to Oliver Creek near Justin, Texas.  We were joined by members of the Houston and Austin groups.  The creek bed cuts through upper Goodland formation and is abundant in Oxytropidoceras ammonites and the occasional other goodies. While dozens of ammonites were collected I only took a picture of the best one.

The group had to leave by noon and some of us went up to a construction site near Denton.  This location exposes both the Mainstreet and Grayson formations.
