First stop was a construction area near Weatherford, Texas.  This is the Walnut Clay formation.  Nothing was found worth mentioning.

Next stop was across the highway and a little east in a new housing development. This may be the Walnut Clay formation, not sure.  This small location was surprisingly abundant in echinoids (heart and fancy) of various species.  The larger ones were found near the road, smaller ones near the back.

Phymosoma sp. echinoid

Salenia sp. echinoid

Heteraster sp. echinoids

Salenia sp. echinoid
Ceratostreon texanum oyster
Next stop was drainage creek next to the highway which cuts into the Goodland formation.

Next stop was a lengthy drive up I35 to a location on private property we obtained permission to hunt.  This is in the Pawpaw formation.  Here were found several small shark teeth and many crustacean bits.

Next stop was an area of Pawpaw and Mainstreet formations.  Nothing of note was found.
The final stop was another Pawpaw formation exposure a couple miles south.  Nothing of note was found but this location is an excellent example of the Pawpaw formation.  The ground is littered with iron oxide concretions.
