Arcadia Park Formation
(c. 89-91 mya)

 The Arcadia Park Formation consists of blackish and bluish shales above the Kamp ranch limestone and below the Austin Chalk.

This formation is very fossiliferous in certain areas and often there is a fossil abundant lag zone at the top of the formation and below the Austin Chalk.   This zone greatly expands to the south where it is called the Atco Formation.

"The Eagle Ford [Group] / Austin contact represents the Turonian / Coniacian boundary (89 MA)"
